Sacred Ecclesiastical Art & Architecture

While our mastery encompasses all forms of custom marble and onyx architecture, the creation of monumental stone iconostases stands as the ultimate crown jewel and core specialty of Serhii Parkhomenko's Stone Architecture & Design Studio.

With over 30 years of dedicated family heritage, we specialize in the design, engineering, and execution of elite carved iconostases, sacred altar tables, and comprehensive turnkey stone cladding for orthodox temples across Europe. We manage the entire lifecycle of the sacred space under one roof—spanning from hand-drafted canonical blueprints by our specialized artists and precise 4-axis machine milling to exquisite, jewelry-grade hand-chiseling and meticulous white-glove installation on site.

Our enduring legacy includes 12 historically significant marble iconostases—proudly serving as the spiritual heart of prominent European churches, including two grand Cathedral Sobors—alongside a distinguished portfolio of masterfully carved holy altars. Backed by three decades of academic rigor, our absolute priority remains delivering uncompromising structural perfection and timeless spiritual beauty for every community we serve.

While our complete legacy spans 12 monumental iconostases, we invite you to explore our three most recent completions below. These featured projects perfectly demonstrate our current engineering capabilities, the breathtaking clarity of our select white marble, and the signature jewelry-grade hand-finishing of Serhii Parkhomenko's Studio.

Frequently Asked Questions about marble iconostases

Is it possible to make a white iconostasis with semi-precious stone inserts?
Yes, this is possible. We can use malachite, jasper, various types of onyx, etc.
Do you make iconostases from limestone?
Yes, we can design and carve an iconostasis from limestone. Because limestone is easier to work with, such an iconostasis will be less expensive than a marble one of similar dimensions and carving complexity.
Can you design a multi-tiered iconostasis yourself?
Yes, we can. We already have experience developing such projects. This is largely determined by the church's interior architecture. To develop a design, we need to have church plans or at least a list of the interior dimensions.
How can I find out the cost of the entire iconostasis project?
Send a request or call. The price for an iconostasis will be calculated individually based on the size, complexity of the carving, and the cost and hardness of the selected natural stone. The urgency of the work is also important when determining the price.
Can I provide you with the iconostasis diagram myself?
Yes, you can. We are happy to undertake both the implementation of a complete turnkey marble iconostasis project and individual stages, such as developing the iconostasis layout and drawings, creating marble carvings for individual components, and so on.
